Spider Control

Every year we receive many calls about getting rid of Tamiami spiders. These calls usually stem from a variety of reasons, all of which we’re more than happy to help with.

Tamiami Spider ControlWe know that many of you hate finding any spiders in your home. If this sounds like you, then you’re in luck! In order to get rid of the spiders in your home we’ll also need to get rid of the other bugs so that the spiders don’t have a source of food and a reason to come back.

If you or a family member has seen one of Tamiami’s poisonous spiders, then you’ll want one of our Tamiami spider specialists to come to your home immediately. There are two types of poisonous Tamiami spiders: the brown recluse and the black widow.

Tamiami Brown Recluse Experts

The Brown Recluse that you’ll find in Tamiami, FL won’t be very large. It is usually 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. Most often, it will be a golden-brown color, and have a black line on its back. Some say this black line is in the shape of a violin, which results in the brown recluse also being nicknamed the fiddleback spider, brown fiddler, or violin spider. The brown doesn’t build the pretty webs that many other spiders do. A brown recluse web can often appear to be random threads just put together. If you see a web like this, you should call us immediately. Common areas that we’ve found Tamiami brown recluse spiders in are wood piles, sheds, basements, closets, and garages.

Tamiami Black Widow Removal

You’re probably at least somewhat familiar with the appearance of the black widow since it has fairly iconic coloring. Its body is a shiny black with a red hourglass on its underside. There are three different widow species found in Tamiami, FL and the surrounding areas. These are the western black widow, the northern black widow, and the brown widow. We’ve found Tamiami black widows in houses, barns, basements, sheds and woodpiles. The black widow is very poisonous and is quite common. It is recommended that you always wear gloves when reaching into any area that you cannot see where your hand will be.

If you see either of these poisonous spiders you should call us immediately. It’s fairly easy to kill a poisonous spider when you see it, but this won’t help to protect you from those that you haven’t seen. If you found one, you can bet yourself there are others.

If you want to get rid of any spiders in or around your home, for any reason, our Tamiami spider control experts can assist you. We will not only get rid of your existing spider problem, but we’ll protect your family and pets from future spiders.
